How the windows are defined
Monday night, Thursday night, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Saturday come from the game’s date and day. Sunday night before 2002 comes from the ESPN night-package ledger, Sunday rows only; from 2002 it is the league’s slot. The Kickoff Game and international games are tracked from 2002. Records are from the first team’s side, ties count as ties, and stadiums are listed from 2000 onward. Franchises carry their current name throughout, so the Colts’ Baltimore years and the Oilers’ Houston years are under Indianapolis and Tennessee.
