How many times do teams play each other in 2027-28?
Four games against each division opponent, four against six non-division conference opponents, three against the remaining four conference opponents (set by a five-year rotation), and two against all 15 opposite-conference teams — 82 games total, 41 home and 41 road.
What are the back-to-back rules?
Back-to-backs are legal; three games in three nights are not, and the league has eliminated four-games-in-five-nights stretches. The builder blocks any third consecutive game day and warns on 4-in-5 patterns and back-to-backs over 1,200 miles.
What is the Christmas Slate Builder?
A free mode where you build the five-game Christmas Day slate — Saturday, December 25, 2027, noon through the late window, each team appearing once. It doubles as a $100 contest: guess the real slate's matchups, hosts, and time slots.
When does the 2027-28 schedule come out?
The league typically releases the full schedule in mid-August. The opponent structure is known earlier — everything except which four conference opponents draw three games, which follows the published five-year rotation.
