Contest Official Rules
Terms common to all contests
- Eligibility: entrants must be 18 years of age or older and hold a MockSlate account. Void where prohibited.
- Free entry: no purchase is necessary to enter or win. MockSlate Pro is not required.
- One entry per account: your saved contest mock is your official entry. Entries are frozen on save — to change yours, delete it in My Mocks and save a new one before the entry lock.
- Entry lock: no new entries or deletions after the lock time. Entries are graded exactly as saved.
- Sponsor: Cody Blaze Enterprises LLC d/b/a MockSlate — full sponsor identity, prize, and delivery terms appear in each contest's Official Rules block below.
The $100 Week 1 Contest (football, 2027)

Sponsor: Cody Blaze Enterprises LLC d/b/a MockSlate. MockSlate is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with the National Football League, any NFL team, or any player. All league and team names are used for descriptive reference only.
Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and D.C. who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling) and household members, are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Entry Period: Entries are open now and must be saved and locked no later than 24 hours before the officially announced 2027 schedule-release time (~May 2027) ("Entry Deadline"). Sponsor's server clock is the official timekeeper.
How to Enter: Log in to your free MockSlate account, build your entry on the Contest page, review the Rules, confirm you are 18+, and click Save. One (1) entry per account. Multiple accounts or entries per person will result in disqualification of all associated entries.
Prize: One (1) prize of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00), paid by Zelle or Venmo (winner's choice) to the sole winner within 30 days after winner verification. Approximate Retail Value: $100. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of entries received and skill applied. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
Judging and Tiebreakers: Entries scored per the published Scoring Rubric (below). In the event of a tie: the entry with the most 2-point games wins; if still tied, the earliest-submitted entry wins. Sponsor's scoring decisions are final and binding. The Scoring Rubric and Tiebreakers are frozen at the Entry Deadline and will not be changed thereafter.
Winner Notification and Publicity: Winner will be notified by email at the address on their account within 14 days of the Entry Deadline. If a potential winner cannot be reached within 7 days of the first notification attempt, or if a prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the next-highest-scoring eligible entrant. By entering, winner grants Sponsor the right to publish winner's display name in connection with contest results and promotional recap on MockSlate-owned channels.
General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor may disqualify any entrant it believes has tampered with entry, scoring, or the Service.
Privacy: Information submitted is handled per the MockSlate Privacy Policy at mockslate.com/privacy.
Disputes and Governing Law: All disputes are governed by these Rules and the MockSlate Terms of Service (including the arbitration and class-waiver provisions), and by the laws of the State of Florida without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Prize
$100, awarded to the top-scoring entry after tiebreakers.
Scoring
- Per real Week 1 game: 1 point for the correct game — the same away team at the same home team in Week 1. Home/away is strict: the right two teams at the wrong venue score 0.
- +1 point if that correct game is also in the correct broadcast window (as the builder models slots). The window point cannot be earned without the game point.
- Maximum 2 points per game; 16 Week 1 games; maximum score 32.
Tiebreakers
Most 2-point games, then the earliest saved entry.
Entry lock
Entries lock 24 hours before the officially announced schedule-release time (~May 2027).

- +1 point if that correct game is also in the correct time window (noon / mid-afternoon / early-evening / primetime / late ET). The window point cannot be earned without the game point.
- Maximum 2 points per game; 5 games; a perfect card scores 10.

- 1 point per correctly picked non-host qualifier. The six hosts (Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay) are given and do not score — 42 scorable picks.
- The winner is the entry closest to the real 48, announced when the field completes ahead of the December 2029 draw.

Earliest saved entry.

Entries lock at 11:59:59 PM ET on December 31, 2028 — a full year before the official draw.
