Primetime Portfolio — Official Rules

Rules version: games-portfolio-2027.draft-1

Working draft — subject to attorney review before the contest opens. The scoring rubric is published and frozen before entries are accepted.

Entry

  • Free to enter — no purchase necessary. MockSlate Pro is not required and never affects prize eligibility or odds.
  • Entrants must be 18 or older with a MockSlate account, US only at launch. Void where prohibited.
  • One entry per person per season. Entries are editable until the lock; to withdraw, delete your entry before the lock.
  • Entries lock at the officially announced schedule-release time (~May 2027). No new entries or edits after the lock.

How to play

  • Allocate exactly 100 shares across the 32 teams. Your shares are your predicted relative share of the league’s primetime schedule.
  • Primetime games are defined by the published slot taxonomy: Kickoff, Thursday Night, Sunday Night, Monday Night, Thanksgiving Night, and Christmas Night. Both teams in a primetime game receive credit for the appearance.

Scoring

  • When the schedule releases, the real primetime distribution (team appearances across the slots above) is normalized to 100.
  • Your score = 100 − (sum of absolute per-team differences ÷ 2). Higher is better; a perfect portfolio scores 100.
  • Graded instantly on release day; results publish to the public national leaderboard.

Prize & tiebreakers

  • $100, awarded to the top-scoring entry on the public national leaderboard. Prize delivery details finalized in the attorney-reviewed rules.
  • Tiebreaker: the earliest-submitted entry wins the tie.
  • Sponsor: MockSlate (sponsor identity finalized in the attorney-reviewed rules).
