Off the Map
Pro · glory only — no prize2 entrants so farEvery week, one game airs to almost nobody. Find it. While the marquee matchups blanket the country, one Sunday 1:00 game gets beamed to a sliver of the map — two fanbases and the neutral-site curious. Your job: call which game that’ll be, every single week, before the TV maps are drawn.
Weekly results are judged from the coverage maps published by 506sports — the definitive NFL TV-distribution resource. Their maps are theirs; we link, never reproduce. Ours below is a stylized illustration of the idea.
The weekly board
One pick a week from the Sunday 1:00 slate. Picks lock before the week's coverage maps are published. Join any week — missed weeks just score 0.
The weekly board loads with the season schedule.
Off the Map FAQ
How does Off the Map work?
Each week of the 2026 season, pick one game from the Sunday 1:00 ET window — the one you think will cover the smallest share of US land area (not population) on that week's TV coverage map. +3 if yours is the outright smallest, +1 if it's the second smallest — third and below score nothing (and the smallest scores +3, not +4). Season-long leaderboard; missing a week scores 0 — no elimination.
When do picks lock?
11:59 PM ET each Tuesday, before that week's Sunday slate. Picks lock before the week's coverage maps are published.
How are the results judged?
From the week's coverage map as published by 506sports — the definitive NFL TV-distribution resource, credited and linked here. Determination is by inspection, with a published tiebreak: if visually close, the game shown in fewer states wins "smallest." We link to their maps and never reproduce them.
Is Off the Map free?
The page, rules, board, and results are free to read — playing is part of MockSlate Pro ($12/year founding rate, which also unlocks Slot Draft, Over the Slate, Bye Board, Booth Call, Flex Watch, private friend leagues, and advanced stats). There's no prize: Pro games are leaderboard-glory only.
Can I join mid-season?
Yes — join any week. Past weeks simply score 0 and the leaderboard is a season total, so a strong second half is a real run. This is a drip game, not survivor.
MockSlate's prize games are free-to-enter skill contests — no purchase necessary. Pro-exclusive games are prize-free and carry no cash award. Not affiliated with the NFL or any team.
